Episode 8: "One bullet, you're out!"
Remaining Duos
Chima & Eric
Ivette & Will
Chima & Eric
Ivette & Will
There are eight housemates remaining in the BBCharm house. But that number was about to be reduced by one...
Ryan: Big Brother house, this is Ryan! You are live on BBCharm! The house has decided. The votes have been counted and verified, and I can now reveal... that by a vote of 4-0... the seventh person to be evicted from the BBCharm house and the second member of the jury is... SAM! Sam, it's now time to say your goodbyes. I'm coming to get you!
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
Helen versus Sam in the eviction and Sam leaves. How dumb is that? I know we ALL know that Helen was the bigger threat...okay then. I really only blame Gina, but she needs big targets to take the spotlight off of her I guess and Eric/Chima just went with the majority.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
THE REASON I WANTED TO VOTE FOR SAM OVER HELEN IS BECAUSE KEEPING HELEN IN THE HOUSE IS WHAT WILL KEEP EVERYONE BUSY. HELEN PROVED SHE HAD A STRONG AGENDA AGAINST CERTAIN PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE, AND OTHER PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE ALSO HAVE THE ELIMINATION OF HELEN IN THEIR AGENDA. SO I HAD TO KEEP HER, AND STRIKE AGAINST SAM ON THE LEFT SIDE.
FOR THE NEXT WEEK, I AM HOPING THAT ERIC OR WILL WIN THE HOH, I JUST FEEL LIKE IT'S THEIR TIMING FOR ME FOR THEM TO WIN IT.
There were now only seven housemates remaining in the game, making the next HoH Competition more important than ever.
~Gina Rio~
With Sam gone, this really sets the stage. So much can happen at this point in the game. Everyone left has something to bring to the table. This is where the game really begins. I'm just really hoping that Helen can somehow come out with the victory. I feel that with Helen in power, she would definitely go after both Eric and Will. However, after the events of last week and, she could also potentially put up Chima. I made sure to let Helen know that there was a great chance that Helen could have gone home had I committed to evicting her. That's not a lie, either! Chima and Eric would have for sure voted to evict her had they known they had the third vote to do it. Helen knows this, so this plants a seed of doubt about Chima in Helen's head, which helps my game.
The housemates go to the backyard to compete for HoH, where they find a special guest host waiting for them... the Zingbot 3000!
Zingbot 3000: ATTENTION HOUSEMATES! I'm the Zingbot 3000, and I'm Big Brother's closest friend... not that he has any others! ZING! Big Brother invited me to the house to host the next HoH Competition! Ivette, as outgoing HoH, you are not eligible to compete! Gina, you are also ineligible to compete due to a previous PoV Competition.
~Helen Kim~
Going into the Head of Household competition was very stressful for me. Ivette and Gina were both ineligible to compete in the Head of Household competition so it was up to Elissa and I to pull out a win so we could nominate any combination of Will/Chima/Eric, people who I'm sure are aligned together.
Zingbot 3000: This competition is called AmaZING Incorporated, and here's how it works! As you know, I'm CEO of AmaZING Incorporated, the #1 Zing Producer in North America. Unfortunately, there's been a laughing gas leak at the factory, and the Zings I made for all of you were abandoned inside! I need you to put on your gas masks, rush inside, and solve seven falling phrase puzzles. Each puzzle will give you a Zing for one of you! The first housemate to write down all the answers on their chalkboard with no errors will become the new Head of Household. Good luck housemates! You guys are obviously going to need it! ZING!
The competition begins, and the housemates scramble to get working on the puzzles! They're allowed to work together, so some housemates check in with each other to see how they're doing. Each housemate is only allowed one submission, and if they make just one error, they're out of the competition.
Will: I just submitted but the Ivette one is weird.
Chima: WHAT IS IT?
Will: "I don't know why you were so upset about could ever to get picked for a POV, Ivette. It's not like you being last win one, anyway! Zing!"
Chima: YOU MIXED UP SOME WORDS! "I DONT KNOW WHY YOU WERE SO UPSET ABOUT BEING LAST TO GET PICKED FOR A POV, IVETTE. IT'S NOT LIKE YOU COULD EVER WIN ONE, ANYWAY! ZING!"
Will: Yeah, I figured it out, but I sent my first guess already.
Chima: DID YOU SUBMIT ALREADY?
Eric: Yes!
Chima: YOU MADE A MISTAKE IN YOURS...
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
DURING THE ENTIRE COMP.. I WAS LIKE... OMG ERIC... WILL, PLEASE SUCK MORE? NO WONDER YOU NEVER FUCKING WON A FUCKING COMPETITION? EXCEPT LIKE ONE OR TWO? OMG. THIS IS RIDUCLOUS. THIS IS A FUCKING COMPETITIONNNN IT'S TIME TO WIN!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? FUCK IT OR WHAT? EITHER THEY'RE BEING CLOWNS OR THEY'RE REALLY THROWING THE COMPETITION. BIG NEWS IS, IF HELEN OR ELISSA IS GOING TO WIN IT, I NEED TO TAKE IT IN MY HANDS.
Will and Eric had both made mistakes in their submissions, leaving just Chima, Helen and Elissa in the competition. Helen is next to submit, followed by Elissa, and finally Chima.
Helen: I think Elissa won it.
Ivette: How did she get it right?
Helen: I showed her the list I submitted. She noticed the wording was wrong and fixed it.
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
Helen asked me if it was fine for her to give the HOH answers to Elissa. Not my 100 percent preference, but fine.
And now she says Elissa is going to win because Helen "messed up the wording." Bitch, how are you going to give Elissa the list so she can win HOH, then send in your answers first (which defeats the purpose of giving her the answers in the first place), then realize something is wrong with your list and Elissa fixes it?
~Helen Kim~
I was rapidly completing the puzzles and eventually I finished all of them except for Chima's and Eric's. Elissa had already finished Chima's and we both swapped answers to help each other have a good time in the competition. Elissa and I struggled on Eric's until she realized the word was "graveyard", which I wasn't thinking of. We both quickly solved the last puzzle and I had all of the answers while Elissa had all of them except for Gina's, which I finished after giving her the other answers. Elissa wanted me to give her Gina's answer, and her pushiness really rubbed me the wrong way. Elissa had been one to make crazy moves for no reason before and I didn't hold it against her to nominate Gina and Ivette, or even me!
It's time to find out who the winner is! First, the Zingbot reads the correct answers one by one!
Zingbot 3000: Chima, please throw your microphone in the pool. The viewers are going deaf! ZING! Hey, Will! Do you think you can solve this zing, or do you need Boogie to do it for you? ZING!
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
At the HOH competition we had to solve seven puzzles the Zingbot threw at us. I don't mean to try to be all Nikki, but I felt like I was the star of those quotes as mine hurt the most. Boogieeeeeeeee....Of course he loves that attention, but whatever he's not here.
Zingbot 3000: Are you sure you took the pirate costume off, Elissa? You still look pretty damn scary to me! ZING! Eric, I'm not surprised you almost won HoH in Big Brother's graveyard. After all, I heard that's where you buried your personality! ZING!
Eric: Do you hate me, Zingbot?
Zingbot 3000: I don't know why you were so upset about being last to get picked for a POV, Ivette. It's not like you could ever win one, anyway! ZING! Gina, it's sweet that Janelle thought your boob job was worth fifty dollars. I thought you got them done for free! ZING!
~Gina Rio~
To be honest, that hunk of junk can go get recycled into a plastic bag. He had the nerve to say that my boobs were done for free!? And then .. and then.. he had the audacity .. the audacity .. to even mention Janelle to me. What is with everyone wanting to come for my breasts?
Zingbot 3000: Helen, maybe if you took Sallie's advice and sucked a fat dick, someone else would finally get a chance to speak! ZING!
Helen: Do I really talk that much?
It was now time for the results... the Zingbot narrowed it down to two housemates: Chima and Helen. One of them had attained a perfect score.
Helen: I'm so scared.
Chima: YOU'RE SCARED I'LL WIN?
Helen: No... I just like, really want this one.
Elissa: Smooth.
Helen: I don't even know what I'm feeling... I'm having an anxiety attack.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
HELEN NEEDS TO STOP FREAKING OUT SO MUCH IN PUBLIC. THAT REALLY MAKES ME QUESTION HER. I WAS MORE ANXIOUS THAN SHE WAS... AND MY ANXIETY WAS: WTF AM I GONNA DO IF I'M HOH? I WAS IN SUCH A PERFECT SPOT, AND NOW PEOPLE COULD KNOW WHERE I STAND ONCE I WIN THAT HOH. THAT'S A HORRIBLE TIMING, BUT I COULDN'T LET HELEN & ELISSA WIN IT. FUCK THIS HOUSE.
Zingbot 3000: Chima, you were the slowest out of all the housemates! Luckily for you, your housemates are clearly even slower when it comes to checking over their work! ZING! Congratulations, Chima, you had a perfect score and are the new Head of Household!
~Gina Rio~
Like the last Veto competition, everyone rushed and Chima was able to do it nice and slow, but complete with a perfect score. These people are idiots. I don't understand them. Every single person in this game needs to get their life together. It's just embarrassing. I really didn't want to hand my key over to Chima, as she wasn't who I was banking on winning, but what can you do?
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
I wanted to win HOH so badly. I sped through those puzzles and "completed" them fairly fast, but that's also what made me fail. I sped through them when I should have been checking accuracy. So Chima wins by taking her time. The good news with that is that Eric is safe, but I'm not. Chima seems to be cool with me, but I feel on edge... She told me she was nominating Helen/Elissa and she didn't care who was evicted but preferred Elissa. I'm down.
~Eric Stein~
[Chima’s Partner]
Chima has made it clear to me that she is going to do damage this round.. and I'm thrilled. Hopefully she will break up Elissa and Helen in this game and I won't have to worry about it. We just need to get Helen or Elissa out.
But while her partner was excited at the prospect of breaking up Helen and Elissa, Chima wasn't too sure of what decision to make just yet.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
BEFORE I BECAME HOH, MY GAMEPLAY WAS REMAINING FLEXIBLE AND PLAY EVERYONE TO GET THEM TO TRUST ME. BUT WINNING HOH AT THIS MOMENT COMPLICATES THINGS A LITTLE BIT.
I CAN'T JUST PICK A TARGET AND GO LIKE: OKAY THIS PERSON I WANT THEM GONE, AND THEN MAKE ENEMIES OUT OF IT. I NEED TO BE A LITTLE WISER AND MAKE SURE THAT MY DECISION WILL NOT SHOW EVERYONE WHERE I STAND, THAT MY DECISION WILL NOT HURT ME, THAT MY DECISION WILL KEEP THE HOUSE BUSY. THESE ARE ALL ELEMENTS I WANT TO CONSIDER.
In the HoH Room, Elissa stops by and makes a quick plea to Chima.
Elissa: Can you do me a favor and put me up beside someone who isn't Helen if you have to put me up?
Chima: LIKE AGAINST WHO?
Elissa: I don't know. I just don't wanna go against Helen.
Chima: I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THOUGH!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I KNOW FOR SURE THAT ELISSA IS GOING UP, SHE'S THE ONE I'M LEAST CLOSE WITH, IF SHE GOES THAT WOULD SATISFY ME BECAUSE THIS GIRL IS UNPREDICTABLE, AND AT EVERY HOH, I'M LIKE... SHITTT IS ELISSA GOING TO WIN IT? SHIITTTT PHEW NO SHE DIDN'T.
MY GUT TELLS ME IF SHE GOES, PEOPLE WILL STILL BE GUNNING FOR HELEN ANYWAYS, HELEN WILL STILL KEEP HERSELF BUSY TARGETING THE REST OF THE HOUSE, SO ELISSA GOING WOULD LEAVE... NO LEGACY AGAINST ME, YOU KNOW?
The next housemate to speak with Chima in her HoH room is Ivette.
Chima: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR NOMS!
Ivette: Well, do you have a target? That's a good place to start.
Chima: NOT REALLY! I'M NOT SURE WHAT WOULD BACKFIRE!
Ivette: My advice: don't nominate me.
Chima: THAT'S NOT EVEN IN MY BOOK! YOU HAVE A KEY 100%!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I AM NOT PUTTING IVETTE UP BECAUSE I THINK I TRUST HER ENOUGH. SHE FEEDS ME WITH GOOD INFORMATION AT TIMES, SHE'S A VOTE TO KEEP ME OVER ERIC, I JUST HAVE THIS FEELING THAT DOWN THE ROAD SHE WILL BE THE MOST USEFUL TO ME, I CAN'T GET RID OF HER, SHE'S 100% SAFE ALONG WITH ERIC.
Chima: OBVIOUSLY I'M WORRIED ABOUT ELISSA AND HELEN BUT AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW!
Ivette: I think what makes them dangerous is that they're a pair that isn't part of the twist. You/Eric and me/Will are obvious targets.
Chima: I KNOW! ELISSA JUST ASKED ME NOT TO PUT HER AND HELEN UP TOGETHER IF I PLANNED TO PUT HER UP! I FEEL BAD IF I DO IT THEN!
Ivette: You said you didn't trust Helen. And like... Elissa is unpredictable. And together... they're loyal.
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
I was very anxious about this week during all of last week, if the wonderful viewers didn't notice, but I feel slightly reassured. Now I only go home if the one girl not on the block uses the veto on one of the girls on the block. Then I'm the replacement, and Will and Eric choose my fate. If Chima wants me to stay so badly, those two don't seem capable of independent thought, so the odds may be in my favor.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I COULD, IF I WANTED, JUST PUT ELISSA & HELEN UP. HOWEVER, THE HOUSE WOULD VOTE HELEN TO GO HANDS DOWN BECAUSE SHE'S A BIGGER THREAT. I KNOW THEY WANT HER GONE SOON, IT'S IN THEIR AGENDA, WHY NOT KEEP THE HOUSE BUSY?
Every week, the housemates compete in a Have/Have Not Competition. The losers become the Have Nots for the week and have to endure a series of punishments, including a disadvantage in the week's PoV Competition. Normally, the competitions tend not to stir up any conflict, but this one has the potential to do just that...
Ryan: This competition is called Tug-of-War! Chima, as HoH, you are automatically a Have and will not compete. Will, due to a previous PoV Competition, you are already a Have Not and also will not compete. For the rest of you, you each have a rope with a weight attached to the other end. When the competition begins, pull on the rope to pull the weight as close to you as possible. However, you don't always have to pull on your own rope. You can pull on someone else's rope to help them, or pull on the other end of someone else's rope to hinder them. The decision is up to you! When your time is up, the two housemates whose weights are furthest away from them will be the Have Nots for the week!
When the competition begins, Elissa simply takes a seat on the sidelines and decides not to participate, ensuring that she'll be a Have Not. That means Gina, Eric, Helen and Ivette must fight for the three Have spots. All of them quickly pull their weights to their side of the backyard, meaning that the loser will be determined by housemates sabotaging each other and pulling their opponent's weights away from them. Helen decides to sabotage Ivette, leading to a confrontation...
Ivette: Explain.
Helen: Why I moved you back?
Ivette: Yeah, I thought you wanted Eric out.
Helen: Well Eric moved me forward in the first round, so it would be a dickish thing to do.
Ivette: But you realize you're giving Eric a PoV advantage. He won't use veto on you or Elissa.
Helen: I was more worried about me not getting the disadvantage rather than him getting the advantage
Helen's decision to help an enemy over her own alliance quickly makes her allies lose faith in her...
Gina: Ugh, why is Helen attacking you in the competition?
Ivette: Gina, I'm about to flatline. I'm done. I told Helen she's giving Eric a veto advantage.
Gina: She's just killing her position with us.
~Gina Rio~
During the Have/Have-Not competition, Helen was clearly showing just how much of a flake she was. How dare you, Helen? How dare you. I am so sick and tired of wavering on my opinion of this girl. One minute she's okay, the next she's dreadful, a few minutes later she's a darling, and an hour after that, she's the worst possible human being. For Helen to attack Ivette during the competition just shows how dodgy she truly is. Ivette then lets me know that Helen was "worried" about what Eric thought of her. Excuse me? Screw Eric. Who honestly cares what Eric thinks of you, you should care what we think of you. Ivette and myself are two votes and Eric is a measly one, and Chima breaks the tie. Helen has no idea how to play this game. I know that before I was saying how Helen appeared to be an end-game threat because she's always played the "sweet" card, but it's only because she has no backbone. She's an overly sensitive muppet.
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
I play nice a lot of the time, especially with somebody as sensitive as Helen, but this competition left me no choice: I had to drag a bitch.
Ivette: You've really made it very difficult for me to be a have this week.
Helen: I don't know what to do.
Ivette: You definitely do know what to do.
Helen: Move Eric?
Ivette: The line is drawn in the sand, Helen. You and Eric are kidding yourselves by playing nice.
Helen: I didn't want to be the asshole who uses Eric in the comp.
Ivette: Then why are you the asshole that used me in the comp?
Finally, Helen listens to Ivette and pulls Eric's weight away from him just in time before the competition ends, making him the third Have Not among Elissa and Will.
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
Then Helen whined about wanting to look more favorable than Elissa and screwing things up with Eric so he'd evict her over Elissa. Well, Helen, it's not this moment alone that is going to ruin you in the game. It's just about everything you've done.
Helen would be so easy to beat in the end, and I really might miss her later on if she goes, but holy shit she's just so hard to work with. She backs down so easily and gets all "I don't know" whenever faced with any type of decision or confrontation.
~Gina Rio~
Luckily, the challenge played out like it should have. Elissa and Eric ended up joining Will as HNs this week. Flawless! It was extremely important for me, that if I were to be picked, that I could win the Veto. I didn't want any hindrances.
Now that the Have/Have Not competition was settled, it was almost time for the nominations to take place, and Chima was still considering her options.
Chima: I WAS THINKING WILL AND ELISSA, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Ivette: Will would vote for Eric to stay over you.
Chima: THAT'S WHY I WANT HIM UP!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
AS FOR WILL. I KNOW THE GUY IS WAYYY CLOSER TO ERIC THAN I, AND IN A ROUND OR TWO, IT WILL BECOME UNAVOIDABLE THAT ME & ERIC WILL BE PUT AGAINST EACH OTHER ON THE BLOCK. THAT DAY, I'M NOT GONNA HAVE WILL'S VOTE TO STAY. THAT'S A THREAT TO ME. AND IF HE GOES, THAT STILL KEEPS ERIC & GINA VS ELISSA & HELEN, THAT KEEPS THE HOUSE BUSY. AND THAT WOULD SAVE ME ONE EVICTION VOTE FOR WHEN I GO ON THE BLOCK.
But when Gina is told about the potential nominees, she tries to steer Chima back to her original plan.
Chima: I'LL TELL YOU WHO I WAS THINKING! ELISSA VS WILL!
Gina: That's dangerous, though. Helen would try to win Veto and remove Elissa.
Chima: THAT'S WHAT I'M MOST WORRIED ABOUT.
Gina: What if you do Helen vs. Elissa, then make the replacement Will?
~Gina Rio~
The nominations this week were wavering back and forth between Elissa and Will, but also Elissa and Helen. There was no way I was going to settle for Elissa and Will nominations, because that left room for Helen to win Veto, save Elissa, and see me hit the block. I don't want anyone having the excuse of sticking me up on the block and using it as just that .. an excuse. I made sure to hammer it into Chima's head that I was still very much in her corner and that nominating both Elissa and Helen made sure that one of them or even Will, a number of Eric's, would be going and that her loyalty with Ivette and myself would stay safe and we could still move into the next week to compete for the Head of Household competition. That's all that anyone wants: safety.
Knowing that there was a possibility she would nominate Helen against Elissa, Chima called her up to the HoH Room to give her a heads up.
Chima: LISTEN, I WANTED TO SPEAK NOMS WITH YOU.
Helen: Alright, cool.
Chima: FOR THE NOMINATIONS BEFORE VETO, I DON'T WANT TO END UP IN ARGUMENTS WITH THE OTHER HOUSEGUESTS, AND PUTTING THE WRONG PEOPLE UP MEANS THEY COULD WIN VETO AND BLAH BLAH YOU KNOW WHAT. I WAS THINKING OF PUTTING YOU & ELISSA UP FOR THE FIRST PHASE OF NOMINATIONS. THE REASON IS YOU WOULD BOTH SAVE EACH OTHER, AND THAT WOULD MEAN I WOULD HAVE TO NOMINATE TWO OTHER PEOPLE.
Helen: What's your post-veto plan?
Chima: WELL, IN CASE THAT FAILS MISERABLY AND THEY WIN VETO I WOULD RATHER NOT TALK ABOUT IT YET. :-\
Helen: But like, would I be your target?
Chima: I DON'T WANT YOU GONE, HELEN! IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN YOU OR ELISSA, I'LL KEEP YOU!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I WANTED TO SPEAK WITH HELEN ABOUT THE NOMINATIONS BECAUSE I WANTED TO MINIMIZE THE SHOCK AND MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T COME AFTER ME NEXT WEEK. SHE COULD VERY WELL DO THIS... TO COME AFTER ME, BUT I HAVE TO MAKE HER FEEL AS COMFORTABLE AS I CAN. I CLUED HER IN THAT WILL COULD GO UP INSTEAD OF HER, AND SHE'LL FIGHT FOR THAT VETO.
It's time for the nomination ceremony. Chima gathers the housemates in the kitchen.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I THINK BOTH OF MY DECISIONS COULD BE SMART, BUT ONE OF THEM IS SMARTER THAN THE OTHER, BUT MY BRAIN CANNOT PREDICT THE FUTURE, SO I HAVE TO FOLLOW MY GUT INSTINCT WITH THESE NOMINATIONS. I THINK I KNOW WHAT I'M GONNA DO.
Chima: HELEN, AND ELISSA, I DECIDED TO NOMINATE YOU. I PUT YOU UP BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE PAIRS TWIST, YOU WILL BOTH HELP EACH OTHER OUT. THIS WEEK IS FAR FROM OVER, AND THERE IS STILL A VETO. MAYBE EVEN BETTER PLANS IN STORE FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK? WHO KNOWS? OOHH DID I JUST SCARE THE REST OF HOUSEGUESTS? MAYBE I'M JOKING? MAYBE I'M NOT? HMM. GOOD LUCK.
~Gina Rio~
I'm thrilled that Chima committed to the idea of Elissa and Helen being the nominations. I quite enjoy seeing both of them on the block. It's nice. It's refreshing. This now means that myself and Ivette are the only two players left in the game that have never been nominated, and it's the Final 7. I think that's pretty impressive.
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
Gina apparently convinced Chima that Helen/Elissa is the best course of action because if the noms are girl/Will and one of the girls wins veto, Gina goes on the block. That makes sense. I almost hope one of them does win veto now that it's Elissa vs. Helen and Will has to go up.
It's time to pick players for the veto competition. Only six housemates will compete: the HoH, the two nominees, and three housemates selected by random draw. Gina, Ivette and Will are drawn from the bag, leaving Eric as the only housemate unable to compete.
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
With Helen/Elissa on the block it's an easy veto decision for me to not use the veto if I win. I just don't know what Ivette/Gina would do.
~Gina Rio~
When the draws came around, I got picked to play! Thank god! When my name got called, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulder and it was instead replaced by pre-competition nerves and jitters. All I know is that I need to win the competition at any cost. I want to make sure I have some power by the end of this week to help push a certain agenda. That agenda? To backdoor Will.
The housemates go to the backyard where they find an Olympic stadium has been constructed!
~Ivette Corredero~
[Will’s Partner]
I see the veto will probably have to do with the Olympics. I hope the veto is not to survive on the streets of Sochi, because I would not last particularly long. None of us would.
Ryan: This competition is called The Mini Olympic Games, and here's how it works! We will play ten mini games! In each game, we will have a gold, silver and bronze medal winner. The gold medal winner will gain three points. Silver will gain two, and bronze will gain one. The housemate with the most points after ten games will win the Power of Veto! Elissa and Will, because you are Have Nots this week, you'll start off with -2 points!
~Gina Rio~
The PoV competition was a series of mini competitions. In order to win the challenge, you had to accumulate the highest amount of points. Points were distributed by the types of medals you won each round. Luckily, we know that I adore nice things, so only gold was suitable for me. *Brushes her hair from her face.
After the ten games are completed, it's time to reveal the results!
Ryan: With a total of 20 points... congratulations, Gina! You have won the Power of Veto!
~Gina Rio~
The competition was steamrolled by yours truly from start to finish. Which means .. *Holds up the medallion and kisses it. I won! Chima was giving me a run for my money, as was Helen, but c'mon, let's face it .. neither had what it took to come back and beat me. I was really pushing hard to win this challenge, because I wanted to secure my own safety instead of relying on others. With the Power of Veto in my possession, this meant that I was going to be approached by everyone about what to do with it, and that's exactly what happened.
Elissa is first to approach Gina, and quickly throws fellow nominee Helen under the bus.
Elissa: Helen's been talking about how you always win competitions and you need to be voted out. So you should save me!
Gina: Seriously?
Elissa: Yes. She says it a lot.
~Gina Rio~
A few minutes after I had won, Elissa came up to me and told me how Helen had been saying repeatedly that I needed to be voted out because I "win everything". True. I can't hold that against Helen because she's not exactly slandering me, but still. This pissed me off a little. With this bit of information, I decided to confront Helen.
Gina: Have you been telling people I need to go, because I win everything?
Helen: Let me guess, Chima told you that, didn't she?
Gina: No.
Helen: What? I mean, I may have said it jokingly, but I've showed you that I trust you. If Elissa told you that, she has done this to me every time. She has my back until we're up together.
Gina: Elissa feels if I should take someone down, it should be her.
Helen: Well duh.
~Gina Rio~
The reason for confronting Helen with this, was to drive the wedge between Elissa and Helen a little further, but also to show Helen that I preferred her over Elissa, regardless. I told Helen that if I had believed Elissa, I wouldn't be coming to her with this information. Helen seemed thankful and hopeful that she and I were still good with one another, and I assured her that she was. I had let her know that if I was going to save her or Elissa, it'd be her, and that I wanted her to have my back next week if she won.
Gina still wanted to backdoor Will, and that meant she had to go up to the HoH Room to talk to Chima.
Chima: CONGRATS! YOU BEASTED IT! ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'RE GONNA DO?
Gina: Like I said, I wanted to do what's best for us this week. Do you want Elissa out this week?
Chima: SURE, YES! BUT THEN NEXT WEEK IVETTE NEEDS TO THROW HOH, BECAUSE IF SHE WINS WILL CAN'T GO UP.
Gina: Ugh, that is so annoying.
Chima: UNLESS WE EVICT WILL NOW.
Gina: Can we?
Chima: I'M REALLY BETWEEN ELISSA & WILL RIGHT NOW.
Gina: You can't play for HoH next round, so you need all the numbers you can get. If Ivette can't play, because of Will, then it's just me competing and trying.
Chima: BUT IF WILL IS OUT, SHE CAN PLAY.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I'M REALLY FEELING LIKE I WANT TO COMPLETELY CHANGE MY PLANS OF EVICTING ELISSA.
WILL MAKES ME VERY NERVOUS BECAUSE OF THE PAIRS TWIST. IF HE WINS THE NEXT HOH, HE IS NOT GOING TO NOMINATE ERIC AT ALL, AND ON TOP OF THAT, THERE WOULD BE TWO ROUNDS LEFT TO DEMOLISH TWO PAIRS (FINAL 4 & 5) AND HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO NOMINATE IVETTE ON FINAL SIX. SO LET'S SAY I SOMEHOW ENDED UP ON THE BLOCK BECAUSE OF VETO AND ALL THAT SHIT, THEN EVERYONE WOULD RUSH TO EVICT ME BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE STRESSED WITH THE TICKING CLOCK. THAT'S JUST THE WAY I SEE IT. ELISSA MAKES ME NERVOUS, BUT THE MORE TIME IS TICKING, THE MORE WILL IS MAKING ME NERVOUS BECAUSE OF THE TWIST.
~Gina Rio~
Chima and I got to talking about what we wanted to see happen this week. Chima was fine with nominations staying the same, or that's what she let on, and letting Elissa be the one evicted. However, as Chima and I got deeper into the conversation, I made sure to tell her that it was perhaps smarter to see Will leave the game this week. Why? Because of the partner twist. If Ivette were to win Head of Household next round, she wouldn't be able to nominate Will. If Will were to be evicted this week, this leaves it open as a greenlight for Ivette to win, which increases Chima and my chances at being safe if Ivette were to indeed win. If Will were still here, we wouldn't want Ivette to win, and we'd only have me to rely on to win the competition.
Now that the focus had shifted to Will, Chima decided to pull him into the HoH Room, and let him know that he would be going on the block.
Chima: GINA IS USING THE VETO, AND I HAVE TO PUT YOU UP.
Will: I'm going home then.
Chima: IF I KEEP YOU THAT WILL PUT ME IN TROUBLE. :-\
Will: I don't understand how getting rid of me helps you.
Chima: YOU WILL SAVE ERIC OVER ME HANDS DOWN, AND PEOPLE WILL COME AFTER US AND WILL HAVE TWO ROUNDS LEFT TO DO IT.
Will: You think I will save him over you. He told me to my face that he likes me but he will forever stay true to you.
Chima: BUT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT ERIC... NOT YOURSELF.
Will: That's what he said that made me change my mind. I don't know what to say to prove I'd be up in the air between you two.
Chima: BEING IN THE AIR ISN'T ENOUGH THEN!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ME TO KEEP YOU WHEN YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD BE 'UP IN THE AIR BETWEEN ME AND ERIC'? IVETTE TOLD ME SHE WOULD KEEP ME OVER HIM, AND SHE NEVER CHANGED HER VERSION. WILL TWISTED THINGS AND CHANGED HIS VERSIONS TOO OFTEN TO MY TASTE DURING OUR CONVERSATION.
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
I had the most frustrating conversation moments before being backstabbed by Chima. I HAD to be nominated or she'd be in trouble by the girls. REALLY? What makes you think they won't kick you to the curb next week? She is so worried about me voting her out against Eric that she doesn't realize that everyone would vote her out against Eric.
At the PoV Ceremony, Gina and Chima execute their plan.
Gina: I have decided to use the Power of Veto on .. Helen. Congrats, girl! I have removed Helen from the block, which means that, Chima, as Head of Household, it is your responsibility to name the replacement nominee.
Chima: I HAVE DECIDED TO REPLACE HELEN WITH... WILL!
Elissa: You should save me because Will has everyone in this game fooled. He has been trading sexual favors with Estelle and Ryan since day one and will coast to the win if you let him stay. Don't condone the use of GMOs! I'm sure my point is clear. A vote to save me is a vote to keep wild bears out of schools.
~Elissa Slater~
I'm getting evicted tonight for sure. I tried so hard at the HoH and lost. I knew that with Chima winning HoH I would be nominated and voted out. It really fucking sucks to go out this way but it's happening. I'm hearing I'm supposedly staying but I think that's bullshit. I don't trust anyone here enough to know they'll keep me. Maybe Helen and Ivette but that's it. Chima will supposedly keep me but I doubt it. I don't wanna leave.
~Will Kirby~
[Ivette’s Partner]
I would hope that if I could gather two votes to stay that Chima would break the tie and evict Elissa, but the girl is delusional so I am the biggest threat in her eyes. I couldn't even fathom how much weed she had possibly been smoking to handle this situation like this. I mean does jury not mean anything to you? We are about to see stupidity at it's finest and I promise I won't say a single rude word to Chima when she is the next juror. I WILL make a long distance phone call to Boogie about it though. ;D
~Gina Rio~
The plan was successful. I removed Helen off the block and Chima followed through with nominating Will in her place. There was some worry on Ivette's part that Will would be able to convince Chima to not put him up, but it didn't happen. From what I heard, Will had tried hard to stay off the block, vowing that he wasn't as close to Eric as everyone believed. Yeah, okay. *Rolls eyes. With Will going up on the block now, this means that we can evict him and kill the Ivette and Will duo that would have been a nuisance to have next round. Helen, Ivette, and myself will all be casting our votes to evict Will. I think he knows it's coming, otherwise he wouldn't be up on the block right now. If he happens to approach me before the eviction, I'll let him know that I'm evicting him.
With the eviction now between Elissa and Will, there is essentially nothing Will can do to save himself. The only person in the house that wants him to stay is Eric.
~Eric Stein~
[Chima’s Partner]
What the fuck is going on and why is Will on the block? If he goes, there goes one person of security. I mean it defeats Will and Ivette but then that's an even bigger target for Chima and myself.
I'm worried that he's going to go and I'm going to get screwed for it. Elissa NEEDS to go, and I need to get to the bottom of this. Why would Chima do such a thing?
While Will's eviction was just about done and dusted, the housemates still felt uneasy. They were speculating that a double eviction could be on the horizon.
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
APPARENTLY... WE MIGHT HAVE A DOUBLE EVICTION. THAT'S THE RUMOUR. I'M THINKING SHIT. THIS IS RUINING EVERYTHING. IT GIVES US LESS TIME TO SCRAMBLE, TO THINK, TO MAKE SMART DECISIONS, AND ALL OF THAT. I HOPE ERIC WINS HOH, JUST SO WE CAN GET THROUGH THAT FAST ROUND REAL QUICK, BUT IF HE DOESN'T, THEN I HOPE IT'S ELISSA. YOU CALL ME CRAZY? RIGHT? WELL NO, I'M NOT. THAT WOULD JUST BE A VOTE I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IF I'M ON THE BLOCK, AND SHE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO WIN THE NEXT ONE.
~Gina Rio~
I have a feeling the fast-forward is what we're about to be faced with. If that's the case, it could easily come down to myself or Helen winning the challenge, which is preferred. I'd love to personally get it myself though. I miss the luxuries of the HoH bedroom.
On eviction night, all of their fears are confirmed.
Ryan: Housemates... tonight is double eviction night! That's right, within the hour, TWO of you will be leaving the house and heading off to the jury house. We have no time to waste, so let's get started! Elissa and Will, the house has decided. The votes have been counted and verified, and I can now reveal... that by a vote of 4-0... the eighth person to be evicted from the BBCharm house and the third member of the jury is... WILL! Will, it's now time to say your goodbyes. I'm coming to get you!
~Elissa Slater~
Oh my god! Seeing it was a fast forward eviction was the scariest news ever. I saw it coming but it was super frightening to think that I could have been the one leaving after just escaping the block. I knew I would have to fight super hard to win the HoH and everything else.
After giving everyone a hug goodbye, Will picks up his bags and leaves the house. The remaining housemates are immediately ordered to go outside for the next HoH Competition.
Ryan: Chima, as outgoing HoH, you are ineligible to compete. This competition is called Can I Get Yo Numba, and here's how it works! In each round, I'll ask you a question about a previous BBCharm competition. The answer is always a number. Try to answer as close to the actual answer without going over. The housemate who goes over by the largest amount, or (if no one goes over) is furthest below the actual amount, will be eliminated from the competition. The last housemate standing will be the new HoH and have just five minutes to make their nominations.
~Eric Stein~
[Chima’s Partner]
I'm also officially the only person who has not won HoH. That's fine and all but I think that 3/6 people would put me on the block. Chima can't play and this is a scary round with quick decisions. Elissa or Helen NEED to go. I think Gina will help me. I think that Ivette will not. I think both Gina and Ivette will not put Chima up however.
This round is SCARY and I am SCARED.
Within the first two questions, Elissa and Eric are eliminated, leaving a final three of Ivette, Gina and Helen.
~Elissa Slater~
I was trying to win solely so Eric wouldn't win. After he was eliminated I really didn't care who won HoH. I knew my girls alliance wouldn't take me out so I was clearly safe against them. Within my alliance I was pulling for Helen because I knew I could convince her to put up Gina.
And Elissa gets her wish...
Ryan: Congratulations, Helen! You are the new Head of Household! I will call you to the living room in five minutes to make your nominations.
But this was not what Helen had planned.
~Helen Kim~
When I won the HoH, I was really upset. I was banking on Gina winning the HoH this week so she could get out Eric or Chima and then not be able to compete in the next Head of Household competition so that Ivette, Elissa and I could blindside her.
In the storage room, Helen informed Gina that she'd be splitting up the pair.
Gina: Who are you thinking for noms?
Helen: Chima/Eric.
Gina: Perfect. That way they can't save each other.
But as soon as Gina left the room and Elissa entered, they began discussing their real plan...
Elissa: If you want, we can backdoor Gina.
Helen: Maybe, it depends on veto.
Elissa: I think it's safer to just let Eric and Chima go up and consider it later.
~Elissa Slater~
I let Helen know that we could easily backdoor Gina but it was probably safer for her game to nominate Chimeric first so if Gina won POV she wouldn't know about the plan and risk her getting taken off the block. I was trying to get in her ear and convince her that it was the night to take Gina out. The opportunity would probably not arise again. The girl's a compeition queen and a social threat.
Right before she's called to the living room to make her nominations, Helen lets Chima and Eric know that they'll be going up, but there's a bigger plan in sight.
Helen: I'm thinking you two because of the pairs, but kick ass in veto. I have another plan. Got it?
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
SO HELEN TOLD ME I WOULD GO UP. AT THE TIME I WAS REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I KNEW THERE WAS NO WAY SHE WOULD PUT OTHER PEOPLE ON THE BLOCK AND THIS FAST FORWARD JUST ADDED TO MY ANXIETY. IF THINGS WENT WRONG, YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY TO PLEAD YOUR CASE IN FIVE MINUTES. IT'S LIKE A GUN FIGHT INSTEAD OF FIST FIGHT. ONE BULLET, YOU'RE OUT.
Ryan calls the housemates to the living room for the nomination ceremony.
Helen: I'm ready, Ryan.
Ryan: Helen, who is the first housemate you would like to nominate?
Helen: I have to go hoes before bros. I have to nominate you, Eric.
Ryan: Eric, please take a seat on one of the nomination chairs. Helen, who is the second housemate you have chosen to nominate?
Helen: This probably isn't a surprise. The duos twist scares me. So Chima, like you've nominated me twice, I have to nominate you.
Ryan: Chima, please take a seat on the other nomination chair.
Ivette: Ugh, this fast forward stuff is so cruel.
Ryan: Chima and Eric, one of you MIGHT be the next housemate to be evicted from the BBCharm house. But you still have one more chance to save yourself! It's time for the Power of Veto Competition!
The housemates head to the backyard. As they're on their way, Helen and Elissa whisper to each other and confirm the real plan for the double eviction.
Elissa: If I win it, I'll take off Chima and we'll both evict Gina.
Helen: Okay, sounds good.
~Helen Kim~
My nominations at first were just me playing it safe, going after the last remaining duo so as to not ruffle any feathers. Deep down, I know that Gina has to be backdoored. If she wins the Final 5 HoH and then went on to win the Final 4 veto, she'd have a free ride to the Final 3 and would most likely win this whole game.
Ryan: This competition is called Lost For Words, and here's how it works! Each of you has an identical word search placed in front of you. You'll have ten minutes to circle as many words relating to BBCharm as you can. When time's up, the housemate who's found the most words will win the Power of Veto!
~Chima Simone~
[Eric’s Partner]
I REALLY TRIED AS HARD AS I COULD FOR THE VETO, BECAUSE I STILL DON'T QUITE UNDERSTAND WHY THESE PEOPLE ARE KEEPING ME OVER ERIC? I'M CLEARLY A BIGGER THREAT TO TAKE OUT AND IF THEY REALIZE THAT, THEY'LL JUST KNOCK ME DOWN IMMEDIATELY.
When time's up, it's a close race between Chima and Elissa.
Ryan: Elissa, you found ten words. And Chima... you found twelve! Congratulations, Chima! You have won the Power of Veto!
~Elissa Slater~
I definitely was relieved to see that Chima won it over me. I wanted the POV but I was worried one of the others would keep the noms the same so I was definitely hoping Chima would pull her weight in the challenge if I didn't win. Thank God she did and can take herself of the block! It would have been awful for my game if I had to take off Chima. Ivette and I hadn't even spoken about the plan. Imagine how pissed she would be to see me take off Chima and immediately have Gina put on the block. It would be the ultimate betrayal.
It now seemed as if the plan to backdoor Gina would go smoothly. But there was one issue... Ivette, one of Helen's allies, wasn't on board.
Helen: How do you feel about the Gina backdoor?
Ivette: Here's the problem, Helen. I just feel like it's ME and ME ALONE next week against both Chima AND Eric for HoH.
Helen: And Elissa. If Gina wins HoH, we're screwed.
Ivette: I don't know. I think she'd go after Elissa, personally.
But at the veto ceremony, Helen doesn't budge from the plan.
Chima: I AM TAKING MYSELF OFF THE BLOCK!
Ryan: Helen, Chima has just vetoed one of your nominations. Who would you like to nominate in her place?
Helen: Alright, so this is so hard. SO hard. I love everyone in this game. Gina, I have to put you up as the replacement.
Ryan: The nominees will have five minutes to campaign before I ask you to cast your votes!
With Ivette definitely voting to keep Gina, and Chima definitely voting to keep Eric, the decision lies solely in Elissa's hands. She decides to let Gina know the truth.
~Elissa Slater~
Originally I planned to just soothe Gina and make her feel safe but I respected her too much to evict her and let her have no idea she was leaving. As her friend, I had to talk to her and let her know I was voting to evict her and explain why. I just couldn't keep her knowing she was a huge threat and could easily have won the game. It didn't make sense for my game to keep her any longer.
Freaked out, Gina goes to Helen to ask for help.
Gina: I'm going home? Elissa just told me she's evicting me.
Helen: Um, what? Let me talk to her.
Gina: This is why I shouldn't have gone up, Helen. People are tempted to evict me.
Helen: I'm so sorry. I'm going to throw up.
But in reality, Helen does nothing but wait for the results.
Ryan: Big Brother house, this is Ryan! You are live on BBCharm! Eric and Gina, the house has decided. The votes have been counted and verified, and I can now reveal... that by a vote of 2-1... the ninth person to be evicted from the BBCharm house and the fourth member of the jury is... GINA! Gina, it's now time to say your goodbyes. I'm coming to get you!
Gina: Lovely.
Ivette: Bye, Gina.
Elissa: I'm so sorry, Gina.
Gina: *hugs Eric, Chima and Ivette* I love you guys, kick butt.
Elissa: I didn't want to do this, I swear.
Gina: Horrible move, Helen. FYI. Chima and Eric, do your thing.
With that, Gina leaves the house without any of her belongings. The final five sits inside, shocked. They had just evicted one of the most dominant players of the season. Now, it was truly anyone's game.
