Episode 10: "I'm finally sucking on the fat dick of reality."
For the first time all season, the eviction vote was tied! The power was now in Head of Household Elissa's hands to send Eric or Ivette to the jury house.
Elissa: I vote to evict Eric, sadly.
Ryan: The tenth person evicted from the BBCharm house and the fifth member of the jury is... Eric! Eric, it's now time to say your goodbyes. I'm coming to get you!
~Ivette Corredero~
Yes, I survived the block in a tie vote. Yes, I received my first vote against me in this game. Yes, It was close. Yes, I almost went home.
BUT, I survived!
~Helen Kim~
Eric's eviction was a surprise to nobody. I admire Chima's loyalty to her partner, though I do think it would have been smarter for her to just completely jump ship and try to show people that she's alright with doing what we want despite her loyalty being questionable throughout the rest of the game. You can't make a deal with Chima and expect her to go through with it, and that's just a fact. I have tried since day one to be nice and loyal to her and she has done nothing except nominate me and talk shit about me behind my back.
Now that the housemates had made the final four, it was crucial to start thinking about who they would like to face the jury with. Elissa had originally planned on taking Eric to the final two, but now that she had been forced to evict him due to his partnership with Chima, she had a new plan.
~Elissa Slater~
I realize my second best chance at winning the game is to take Chima to the final two.
With the HoH Competition about to begin in just a few minutes, Elissa has a quick chat with Chima in the kitchen.
Elissa: So I'm thinking at this point we should go to the end together.
Chima: I WAS ACTUALLY THINKING THE SAME A FEW DAYS AGO.
Elissa: I think the other two think they've got the game figured out. We're both strong in challenges. If we're together, we can't be voted out as long as one of us is voting this week.
Chima: PERSONALLY, I THINK THEY HAVE THIS GAME WON.
Elissa: They think they do for sure, but we can take it back from them.
~Chima Simone~
LATELY, I'VE BEEN THINKING HOW GOING TO THE END WITH ELISSA WOULD BE A SMART THING TO DO, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO HER TOO EARLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT HER TO OPEN HER BIG MOUTH. BUT IF SHE WANTS TO OPEN THAT DOOR FIRST, THEN OKAY. I'M GOOD WITH IT.
It's time for the new HoH to be crowned! While nominations don't matter much this week until the veto is won, the new HoH will have a guaranteed spot in the final three.
~Helen Kim~
Winning this next HoH is crucial for me, because even though Chima has never shown me loyalty, Ivette is a much bigger fish to fry in this competition. She's floated through this game, only being nominated once when she never was in any danger. Her making it to the end of the game would be detrimental to my game, because even though my underdog mastermind story is impressive there is no beating Ivette's flawless game.
Ryan: Elissa, as outgoing HoH, you are ineligible to compete. This competition is called Days of Our Lives, and here's how it works! There are seven questions. Each question will ask on which day a certain event occurred. For every day that you're off from the correct answer, you'll earn one penalty point. The housemate with the fewest penalty points after all seven questions will become the new Head of Household!
For the first few questions, Helen dominates and answers perfectly without earning any penalty points! But then, things take a turn for the worse, and by the time the seventh question is about to be asked, Helen is losing to Ivette by four points. Chima, meanwhile is so far behind that it's almost impossible for her to catch up.
Ryan: It's time for the final question! On which day did the third unanimous eviction occur?
~Helen Kim~
Final question. The third unanimous eviction. The house didn't start voting together until the end of the game, I knew that. I also knew that Elissa always voted the way I wanted her to, and knowing that Sallie was my main target as HoH the unanimous evictions hadn't started until jury. I knew that Eric's eviction resulted in a tie, and Gina's eviction was 2-1...so it had to be Will! I quickly submitted Day 40 and PRAYED that Ivette got a different answer than me.
Helen answers 40, Ivette answers 35, and Chima answers 1.
Ryan: The correct answer is... Day 35! Congratulations, Ivette, you are the new Head of Household!
~Ivette Corredero~
I looked SICKENING and I made them EAT IT. I'm tied with the record for HoH wins now, so nobody can say I didn't pull my weight. Now I don't need to worry about holding back in comps any longer to get people to underestimate me.
~Helen Kim~
Ryan, being the little ass he is, drew out the results so long that I knew that I HAD to have won it. A perfect victory needs perfect suspense, right? Just before I could celebrate....IVETTE WAS THE NEW HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD! I went from being on cloud nine to the cold hard ground in an instant. All of this work and struggle exploded in my face!
Ivette winning HoH was risky for Chima. Now, if either Elissa or Helen won the veto, they would have to decide between evicting her or their original partner that they had entered the game with.
~Chima Simone~
SHIT. IVETTE WINNING HOH MIGHT HAVE JUST FUCKED ME OVER, BECAUSE NOW......... I'M STUCK WITH THE DUO AND IF I'M NOT THE SINGLE VOTER, I'M IN TROUBLE. I REALLY SUCKED AT THIS COMPETITION, AND I STRUGGLED TO REMEMBER WHEN THINGS WERE SAID. BUT WELL... THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD BAD HOH IN A ROW? I'M GETTING USED TO IT, AND THERE'S STILL A VETO. IF PATTERN CONTINUES I SHOULD WIN THAT VETO...
But Elissa quickly dispelled Chima's fears and let her know that their final two deal was still on.
Elissa: Alright, we need this PoV.
Chima: YES, I'LL DO ALL I CAN TO WIN IT!
Elissa: Helen told me she's worried you'll evict her.
Chima: I WILL HAHAHA!
~Elissa Slater~
If I win the final PoV, I'm evicting Helen.
She'd be devastated but I think she'd understand it was game and I was making a big move in order to win the game. I know she really wants this but I want it too.
~Chima Simone~
IF ELISSA REALLY DOES TURN ON HELEN THAT WOULD BE MORE THAN HILARIOUS. TO BE HONEST, IF SHE DID TURN ON HER IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME, SHE'S A LIAR, SHE COULD LIE TO ME, BUT I TOTALLY EXPECT TO SEE HER BACKSTAB HELEN IF SHE THINKS SHE CAN'T BEAT HELEN IN THE END.
Meanwhile, as HoH, Ivette had to decide which two housemates to nominate for eviction. She was currently leaning towards putting up Elissa and Helen, as they were the last pair of original partners remaining in the game.
~Ivette Corredero~
I'll probably nom Helen and Elissa. I want one of them gone. Helen asked me what I'd do if I won the veto. The answer is not use it. I skirted the answer, though, because she doesn't need to know that for sure just yet. Not like it's not already shockingly obvious.
When Helen asked Ivette what was on her mind, she alluded to the fact that Helen would be going on the block alongside her friend, Elissa.
~Helen Kim~
Ivette is always someone that I can talk openly to, and I've appreciated her company throughout this game. Our conversation after she won HoH was, to be honest, the first awkward conversation we've had all game. I asked her what she was thinking, and she replied "I'm thinking I'm in the final three and my nominations don't matter". I mean yes, that is true, but it's still a pretty bitchy thing to say. No need to rub salt in my wounds, Ivette. I have been nothing but loyal to her this entire game and then she just says that it doesn't matter if I'm nominated because it doesn't affect HER game. Yes, I too was trying to get her out this week, but I wouldn't do it with a smile on my face.
Worried about her future in the game, Helen decided to approach Chima with a deal, not knowing that she already had a final two alliance with Elissa!
Chima: FOR ME, THIS VETO IS CRUCIAL!
Helen: It's crucial for me too.
Chima: WHY? IT'S NOT.
Helen: Ivette pretty much told me that Elissa and I are being nominated.
Chima: THE NOMS DON'T MATTER.
Helen: I know but still.
Chima: IF YOU WIN VETO I FEAR YOU MIGHT JUST EVICT ME THOUGH.
Helen: I'm scared you'll evict me.
Chima: I RATHER GO TO F3 WITH PEOPLE WHO WOULD TAKE ME OVER IVETTE!
Helen: If you win veto and evict Elissa, I promise I'll take you.
Chima: MAKES SENSE!
~Helen Kim~
Knowing that I was most likely getting put up next to Elissa, I made a final two deal with Chima saying that if she happened to win the Veto I would be a much better choice to make it to the final three since we both agree that Ivette has played an impeccable social game and would need to go. Knowing that I excel at where she fails in competitions, I hope Chima realizes that evicting Elissa would be best for her game in that sense. Despite me not trusting Chima at all and the fact that I would definitely take Elissa over her, making a deal with the devil is not going to harm me at this point. If I'm meant to go, I'm meant to go; but I am NOT going home without a fight.
~Chima Simone~
I REALLY DO NOT WANT HELEN TO PLAY HARD FOR THE VETO. LIKE PLEASE DON'T FEEL THE NEED TO WIN IT. I CAN'T PREDICT THE FUTURE AND KNOW WHO WILL WIN THE VETO, SO I HAVE TO PLAY IT COOL WITH ALL OF THEM, I'M PRAYING THEY GET SELFISH AND DON'T SHARE NOTES. IF HELEN DOES SHARE NOTES, GOD *KNOWS* THAT DURING THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION, I NEVER TOLD HER I WOULD KEEP HER OVER ELISSA :X LISTEN TO IT CAREFULLY!
At the nomination ceremony, Ivette followed through with her plan.
~Elissa Slater~
I mean I know already Ivette's nominating Helen and I which doesn't bother me at all, really. I think my odds are great with Chima voting. It doesn't matter to me. If she wins POV, she'll probably leave the noms the same and Chima will vote out Helen, so I don't care.
Ivette: I am nominating Helen and Elissa for eviction. Chima was just nominated with her closest friend in the house last week, so if I need to pick a combination of two people to put on the block before the veto competition, I'll choose the two that weren't. Why not give Chima a break, just for a day? Good luck in the veto, you three.
Elissa: Whatevs, we'll just win the veto.
Helen: Let's werk.
~Helen Kim~
The longer this week carries on, the less I trust Ivette. I adore Ivette as a person, but her winning HoH this week sucks. She's been loyal to me up until now when I need her most, and I'm just going to have to fight to beat her this time. I have the drive and desire within me to pull off this win, and it's the most important competition of the season if I want to survive another week. All I know is, I will never give up.
While Elissa appeared to be supportive of Helen, in reality, she made quick work of continuing to distance herself from her former partner.
Elissa: Just so you know, I'm not really mad. Helen is so I'm trying to make her feel better. She also thinks "we" need PoV.
Ivette: I just don't get how someone can be mad at the final four.
Elissa: To be honest, I just want her not to win veto.
Ivette: Let's not kid ourselves. You would take each other to the final two. I don't think any less of you for it.
Elissa: Do you really think if I win PoV I would vote to evict Chima over Helen?
Ivette: Yes.
Elissa: No.
~Ivette Corredero~
I don't trust Elissa. That being said, I fired back with a little bit of my own sweet words.
Ivette: Don't take offense to this, but you might truly be the best final two partner.
Elissa: None taken.
~Ivette Corredero~
Of course, there's a very real chance if I win final three HOH that I would take Elissa, but I'd like to be in a scenario where I can go to the final two even if I lost the final HOH. I feel more certain Helen and Chima would do that for me than Elissa. However, Elissa would be easier to beat in the final two, I believe.
While Ivette is hesitant on believing that Elissa is really against Helen, Elissa soon proves that she truly wants Helen out of the house. After studying for the PoV Competition with Helen, she immediately passes along Helen's notes to both Chima and Ivette.
~Elissa Slater~
Honestly, I just need to make sure Helen doesn't win and stays on the block. I don't care what happens in the PoV as long as Helen is still nominated. She was my partner but I know she's a huge threat to win.
~Chima Simone~
HOLY FUCK. ELISSA JUST GAVE ME ALLLLLLL HELEN'S NOTES. NOW I'M HAVING GOOD MATERIAL. SHE REALLY SEEMS ON BOARD WITH GOING TO THE END WITH ME I GUESS? LET'S SEE HOW THAT PLAYS OUT. BUT FIRST THING FIRST, HEAD INTO THIS COMPETITION. I COULDN'T BE MORE PREPARED, IT WILL ALL COME DOWN TO SPEED.
~Ivette Corredero~
Elissa just gave me Helen's notes and they're less detailed than mine, but they're more organized and easier to read.
I still don't trust them but lol at their supposed implosion.
Meanwhile, Helen was still not aware of the final two deal between Elissa and Chima, and she was trying her best to convince Chima to take her to the final three if she won the PoV.
Helen: If I come off the block, you have my word that I'll save you. Here's why. If Ivette makes it to the final two, she wins no matter who's next to her. So I'd rather take someone who's good at comps to take out Ivette.
Chima: YOU ARE SAYING ALL THE PLEADS I WOULD HAVE MADE HAD YOU WON THE VETO!
Helen: That's because it makes sense. And if the veto is not used, I hope you have the same rationale.
It's finally the moment the housemates have all been waiting for... Big Brother calls them to the backyard to compete in the final PoV Competition!
Ryan: Welcome to the final and most important PoV Competition of the summer! This competition is called BBCharm... For Dummies! When the competition begins, you'll uncover the board in front of you to reveal twelve "For Dummies" book covers! Between each pair of book covers is a blank space. In that space, you must place the picture of an ex-BBCharm housemate. To figure out which housemate goes where, look at the book covers! Each book was written by two ex-housemates, and the clues as to who wrote the books are all over the cover! The housemate to put all of the pictures in the correct place and hit their buzzer in the fastest time will win the Power of Veto!
~Ivette Corredero~
So if I win POV, Chima will be the voter. She might choose to evict Helen, which I don't prefer, because Helen would at least take me, but Elissa might be more easily defeated in the end than her, and might still take me?
The competition begins, and for the first ten minutes, no one hits their buzzer. But then, the competition ends in lightning speed! Helen presses her buzzer first, and is followed within seconds by Ivette and Chima. Big Brother announces that at least one of the housemates is correct, and that the winner is about to be revealed.
Ryan: Helen pressed her buzzer first... however, she placed Will's picture on the board twice and did not include Boogie at all! Ivette and Chima were both completely correct, so the winner is determined by time. With that said... congratulations, Ivette! You have won the Power of Veto!
~Chima Simone~
THE POWER OF VETO... WAS JUST INTENSE! MY HANDS WERE SHAKING LIKE HELL! THIS TIME I WAS ON A ROLL. I JUST FOUND ALL PIECES, BAM BAM MADE A LOT OF LOGIC ASSOCIATIONS... I HAD IT RIGHT. BUT WHEN I DOUBLE CHECKED MYSELF, I GUESS IT ENDED UP BEING NECESSARY BECAUSE I WAS ALL COMPLETELY RIGHT ALREADY... SO I WASTED MY TIME THERE. THAT'S FINE THOUGH, I DON'T WANNA BE THE GIRL THAT WAS IMMUNE SINCE LIKE SAM'S EVICTION WEEK!
With Ivette now holding the power to decide whether or not the nominations would stay the same, Chima, Elissa and Helen all felt vulnerable. Chima ran up to the HoH Room to make sure Ivette wasn't using the veto.
Chima: CONGRATS! ARE YOU USING IT?
Ivette: Helen and Elissa are going insane.
Chima: REALLY? WELL WHO DO YOU WANT TO SEE EVICTED?
Ivette: I think I want to see Elissa evicted.
Chima: OKAY! ARE THEY TRYING HARD TO COME OFF THE BLOCK?
Ivette: Elissa has been trying to convince me all week that she'd backstab Helen.
~Ivette Corredero~
I won veto, so that was a fucking riot.
This was a tough one, because I knew what decision I'd be making, but now Elissa and Helen are both SWEARING they would vote each other out.
Ivette decides not to waste any time, and calls the housemates to the living room for the PoV Ceremony.
Ivette: Everybody this week has been a bit nervous, I understand. It's the final four, and one misstep could mean doom. I nominated Helen and Elissa for eviction, but that was just before the veto ceremony, seeing as it really means nothing. Now that I have won the veto, I have a decision to make. Do I use it, or not? Well, the answer is... No. I don't. I don't use the veto. Chima will be voting. Elissa and Helen, you've both spent a week trying to convince me you'd backstab each other if you were the voter this week, but I didn't believe it. So I'm sorry if it's true, but please don't be mad at me for making, what I believe, is a highly logical decision. Meeting adjourned.
Now that Ivette had chosen to keep her nominations the same, the power was all in Chima's hands. She would single-handedly cast the vote to evict either Elissa or Helen. Elissa follows Chima into the Sneaker Room and gives her a big hug.
Elissa: Congrats!
Chima: PHEW!
Elissa: Best final two ever, hon.
Chima: I'M GONNA TELL IVETTE IT'S BETTER TO TAKE OUT HELEN AND THROW HELEN UNDER THE BUS SO SHE DOESN'T ARGUE!
Elissa: Does Ivette want me out?
Chima: I DON'T THINK SHE CARES ABOUT THIS VOTE.
~Elissa Slater~
At this point, I'm letting everyone think I'm the weakest player in the game. I want them to believe I haven't had a part in any moves. I'll be the first to admit I've taken a more active role over the past few rounds. I knew I had to lay low and make moves while letting bigger players take the fall for it. And I have. Everyone thinks the Gina blindside was Helen's idea. I took the initiative to make a final two deal with Chima and take out two of the biggest threats.
Not wanting Ivette to suspect her final two alliance with Elissa, Chima went up to the HoH Room to get Ivette on board with sending Helen to the jury house.
~Chima Simone~
SO IVETTE WANTED ME TO KEEP HELEN, BUT AS SOON AS I WON VETO, I TURNED AROUND SAID NO! NO! NO! IT'S HELEN WHO'S GOING HOME. THIS IS MY VOTE AND I TRUST ELISSA MORE.
Chima: HELEN WAS TRYING TO CONVINCE ME WE NEED TO TAKE YOU OUT AT THE THREE AND SHE'S DETERMINED TO WIN THAT FINAL HOH!
Ivette: Really?
Chima: YES! YOU THINK WE SHOULD VOTE HELEN?
Ivette: I don't know. I think Elissa is sketchier.
Chima: WELL YOU KNOW I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE WE WIN THE FINAL COMP, JUST KNOW THAT!
Ivette: Elissa is good when she tries.
Chima: AND ALSO WHAT'S YOUR PLAN FOR FINAL THREE? YOU STILL LOOKING OUT FOR FINAL TWO WITH ME? RIGHT?
Ivette: Okay, I don't think I can beat you or Elissa honestly, but I'd much rather try against you.
~Ivette Corredero~
If Chima actually does vote to evict Helen... I guess I'll end up in the final two with Elissa if I have my choice.
Funny how Big Brother works out like that. I spoke to her the least of the final four, and probably seventh most of the entire jury.
Chima was now certain of her decision.
~Chima Simone~
THE PROS OF GOING TO THE END WITH ELISSA IS THAT SHE WILL MOST LIKELY TALK HERSELF INTO A PIT, DESPITE WHAT GAMEPLAY SHE HAD, AND SHE WILL MOST LIKELY RUB THE JURY THE WRONG WAY, WHICH SHE HAS ALREADY TRIGGERED IN THE PAST ALREADY.
The only thing that was left to do was tell Helen the bad news.
Helen: So what are your thoughts?
Chima: I'M SORRY HELEN BUT A PART OF ME THINKS I NEED TO EVICT YOU.
Helen: Chima, please. Chima, if you evict me, I'm telling you as a friend... you're throwing your game away.
Chima: I'M THROWING IT EITHER WAY!
Helen: Chima I'm begging you. I have never wanted anything more in my life.
Chima: LIKE... I KNOW YOU WERE TELLING ME SO MUCH ABOUT KEEPING ME OVER ELISSA... BUT... I CAN'T TAKE WORDS AND I HAVE THE IMPRESSION YOU WEREN'T!
Helen: Listen, I would have no problem evicting Elissa.
~Chima Simone~
IT FELT LIKE WHEN I WAS TALKING TO WILL ABOUT HIS EVICTION. I WANT TO TELL THEM BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE A MARK OF 'BLINDSIDED' ON THEIR ASS. THIS WOULD ONLY MAKE THEM HATE ME MORE. EVICTING HER IS LIKE ENOUGH LIKE THAT YA KNOW? HELEN HAS NOT STRIKED A SINGLE DEAL WITH ME UNTIL SHE FOUND OUT SHE MIGHT LOSE THE VETO. ELISSA HAS COME TO ME MUCH EARLIER!
Helen: Who hasn't pissed anyone off? Ivette. If she wins the final HoH and continues on, she'll win.
Chima: I KNOW THIS!
Helen: You need someone who has competitive drive. You have a much better shot against me. I excel at the things you fail at and vice versa. You're good at reflex things, I'm better with trivia things.
Chima: I WOULD LOVE TO EXPLAIN MORE, BUT LIKE... I CAN'T DROP MY CARDS ON THE TABLE, HELEN. :-(
Helen: I saved Eric from eviction for you in final six.
Chima: THAT WASN'T FOR ME, THAT WAS TO BACKDOOR GINA!
Helen: Chima, I was so close to this PoV. If I didn't mess up, I would've won it. I can't leave like this.
Chima: IT'S NOT PERSONAL.
Helen: Everything is personal though. I wear my heart on my sleeves in this house. So I'm sorry if I take things personally but I did everything I could to make you trust me.
Chima: IT'S NOT EVEN A MATTER OF TRUST RIGHT NOW.
Helen: I don't even know what to say. I feel like I'm finally sucking on the fat dick of reality.
~Helen Kim~
I campaigned my heart out to Chima, and I'm speechless because it's not working.
~Chima Simone~
THERE'S ONE THING WITH BIG BROTHER AND IT'S THAT YOU CANNOT PREDICT THE NEXT COMPETITION WINNER! ALL FOUR OF US ARE GOOD, ANYBODY CAN WIN, SERIOUSLY. IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE COMPETITION. SO IF IVETTE IS TO WIN THE LAST HOH, I WOULD PREFER HELEN TO BE IN THE TOP THREE BECAUSE SHE LOOKS LIKE A BETTER THREAT AND THERE'S A BETTER CHANCE FOR ME TO SIT THERE IN THE TOP TWO.
AND NOW, IF I WIN THE LAST HOH, THAT'S WHEN KEEPING ELISSA OVER HELEN IS SMARTER FOR ME. ELISSA WOULD BE WAY EASIER TO BEAT THAN HELEN BECAUSE OF HER MOUTH. SO FOR ME, IT'S NOTHING BUT A GAMBLE, BECAUSE IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHO WINS THE FINAL HOH, WHICH *CANNOT* BE PREDICTED FOR F****'S SAKE. SO I MADE MY DECISION AS IF IT WAS ME WINNING THE NEXT HOH.
At the eviction ceremony, Chima makes her decision, and forces Helen to suck on the metaphorical dick of reality.
Chima: SORRY TO WHOEVER'S GETTING EVICTED, BUT I HAVE TO PICK BETWEEN ONLY TWO PEOPLE. GOTTA EXPECT THINGS NOT TO GO OUR WAY AT THIS POINT BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MUCH OPTIONS LEFT... HELEN, SORRY GIRL I'M EVICTING YOU. WE HAD OUR TALK, WE BOTH HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF THIS GAME BUT WHATEVER, IT IS JUST A GAME, AND LET'S HAVE FUN PEOPLE.
Ryan: It's official. The eleventh person to be evicted from the BBCharm house, and the sixth member of the jury is... HELEN! Helen, it's now time to say your goodbyes. I'm coming to get you!
Helen: You are all beautiful people. Best cast ever. Kick ass, take names. Muah!
Helen gives everyone a hug goodbye before exiting the house with her bag. The final three had been determined: Elissa, Chima and Ivette! While all three had survived eleven evictions so far, only two could move on to face the jury, and just one would have what it takes to become the winner of BBCharm!
